Take My Seat was started by a mother and son team, Valerie and Kirin Godhwani. They reside in Massachusetts with Kirin’s 2 siblings, dad, grandpa, and rescue dog.

Living in such a full household, Kirin’s parents often couldn’t attend events due to last minute reasons. They attempted to give them away to friends, but their tickets often went unused. Frustrated by this waste, they investigated organizations that could donate these last minute tickets to worthy recipients. They didn’t find anything, so that is how the idea for Take My Seat was born.
