How do I know that I can trust Take My Seat with my tickets?
At Take My Seat, we have a deep commitment and devotion to our mission. We will do everything in our power to connect your generously donated tickets to someone eager to enjoy them.
Currently, we can only accept online tickets. We are not equipped to handle physical tickets at this time. Email us at info@takemyseat.org with specific questions or unique situations.
What type of tickets can I donate?
Simply transfer your tickets to tickets@takemyseat.org via one of the websites we are connected on (ticketmaster, stubhub, seatgeek, and more). Currently, we can only accept online tickets, we have are not equipped to handle physical tickets. Email us at info@takemyseat.org if you have a unique situation.
How do I donate my tickets to Take My Seat?
Currently, we prefer that tickets are sent to us within 24 hours of the start time of the event to find ticket receivers that can use them; however, we will do our best with whatever constraints we are given.
If I donate a ticket to Take My Seat, how close to showtime can it be?
To ensure all tickets are legit, we utilize major, well known ticket venders such as Ticketmaster, Stubhub, and Seatgeek.
How does Take My Seat ensure donated tickets are real and unused?
Why should I donate my tickets to Take My Seat as opposed to another organization that does the same thing?
To put it simply, there are no organizations that do the same thing as Take My Seat. Here, you can donate tickets to any event: sports, movies, plays, concerts, etc. Secondly, our large database of ticket receivers ensures that your tickets are put to good use. Thirdly, we make it much easier and less time consuming for you to donate tickets with us by eliminating long forms and account creation. Lastly, we allow you to donate your tickets last minute, so that we ensure that nothing goes to waste.
Why not keep the tickets and give them to a friend or sell them?
We’ve personally been in the same situation where we couldn’t attend an event at the last minute. When this occurred, we did not have the time or energy to hunt down friends who could use them or go through the process of reselling them. Take My Seat will save you this hassle and will give you the satisfaction of knowing your tickets were used by someone that will truly enjoy the experience.
How can I support Take My Seat?
There are many ways you can support Take My Seat. Firstly, by donating your tickets. Secondly, by spreading awareness of our organization, social media, website, and our cause. Thirdly, by donating money so we can continue to maintain our large database. Fourthly, by notifying us of nonprofits we can partner with to grow our group of ticket receivers.
For now, you must be part of an organization we are partnered with to become a receiver. However, we are working to find other ways to verify eligibility to become a receiver. If part of said organization, you will receive an email with information about how to sign up.
Also, to receive a ticket from Take My Seat, the receiver must have an account on the corresponding ticket site. For example, if the donated tickets are available on Ticketmaster, the ticket receiver must have a Ticketmaster account.
